We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Consultant Emergency Medicine from the United Kingdom to join our client’s private hospital on a beautiful Caribbean island. The ideal candidate will provide expert emergency care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced environment, upholding the highest standards of clinical excellence and patient safety.

Responsibilities

  1. Provide immediate medical attention, resuscitation, and stabilization for patients presenting with acute illnesses or trauma.
  2. Perform diagnostic assessments and develop comprehensive treatment plans in collaboration with other specialists.
  3. Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, residents, and nursing personnel in emergency protocols and procedures.
  4. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth transition of care for admitted or referred patients.
  5. Remain on-call for emergency situations as needed, including during mass casualty events or public health emergencies.

Requirements

  • Medical Degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in Emergency Medicine (e.g., ABEM, CCFP-EM, or equivalent).
  • Must be registered with GMC in the UK.
  • Valid and unrestricted medical license or eligibility for licensure in the Cayman Islands.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of post-residency experience in a high-volume emergency department.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification required.
