Red Carnation Hotels is seeking an enthusiastic and confident Director of Sales to take our Sales and Marketing function to the next level. Key responsibilities of the Director of Sales will include:

  • Identify and prospect new high-value accounts, focusing on corporate clients, diplomatic circles, and leisure markets.
  • Build a robust pipeline of clients through market research, networking, and targeted outreach, leveraging tools like Salesforce, Navigator, and CoStar.
  • Actively engage with new leads through tailored presentations, property showcases, and immersive sales experiences to convert prospects into active clients.
  • Attend and represent Red Carnation Hotels at key industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities to generate leads and build relationships.
  • Develop and execute a structured handover process for accounts that reach maturity, ensuring smooth transition to on-property sales teams for continued account management.
  • Collaborate closely with on-property teams to provide detailed insights and ensure the ongoing delivery of exceptional service and client satisfaction.
  • Act as a resource for on-property teams during the initial stages of account handover to ensure alignment on client expectations.
  • Focus on securing business in emerging and high-growth markets, targeting industries and sectors aligned with Red Carnation’s London properties.
  • Partner with diplomatic entities, luxury concierges, and corporate event planners to establish The Red Carnation Hotels as their preferred choice for high-end accommodation and events.
  • Drive awareness and demand for unique offerings such as private dining, full property buy-out, and extended stays.
  • Track and report on key performance metrics related to new business acquisitions, including lead generation, conversion rates, and revenue growth.
  • Continuously evaluate the ROI of sales initiatives, adjusting strategies to ensure effectiveness and alignment with business goals.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience in hospitality, leisure, or luxury industries with a strong focus on corporate clients and high-profile accounts.
  • Sales Expertise: Proven experience in driving revenue through targeted strategies, client acquisition, and account management.
  • Relationship Building: Strong ability to develop lasting relationships with high-value clients, diplomats, and key industry influencers.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in CRM systems like Salesforce, along with tools such as Navigator and CoStar.
  • Negotiation Skills: A natural negotiator with strong presentation abilities and an outgoing, confident personality.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work seamlessly with on-property teams to ensure client satisfaction and smooth handover processes.
