We’re seeking an experienced, commercially focused Senior Project Manager to join our Design & Projects team at our Central Offices in London. Reporting to the Design Director, you will lead development and refurbishment projects across the Red Carnation Hotel Collection. You’ll be managing all development projects across the RCH group alongside the Design Director. Supporting with CapEx planning, tendering contractors, building and managing project budgets and contractor payments. The role is diverse and one that will allow the right candidate exposure to senior level development planning. You will work closely with the design team and external partners to renovate existing properties in the collection, building off over 40 years of hotel excellence. The Design and Projects team is currently being rebuilt to support a new chapter of design and development at Red Carnation Hotels, fostering a design language that remains true to the heritage of our exceptional properties and brand while elevating them into a more contemporary expression. About the role: Key responsibilities for the Senior Project Manager:
- Client‑side project management of multiple live projects across the Group.
- Supporting CAPEX planning, forecasting and long‑term development strategy.
- Tendering works and appointing contractors and consultants.
- Building, managing and reporting on project budgets, programmes and payments.
- Coordinating delivery across design, procurement, construction and handover stages.
- Supporting hotel teams and engineers with maintenance planning and future works.
- Assisting with procurement, financial administration and bid preparation.
The yearly focus of the role will broadly include:
- Q1: Delivery‑focused management of projects on site.
- Q2: CAPEX planning, budget close‑out and portfolio reviews.
- Q3: Tendering, contractor appointments and budget finalisation.
- Q4: Forward planning, procurement, sequencing and coordination for upcoming works.
About you: Essential criteria:
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a Project Manager or Development Manager role.
- Strong background in hospitality, real estate or construction projects.
- Undergraduate degree in architecture, project management or a related discipline.
- Excellent understanding of the full project lifecycle from feasibility to handover.
- Strong commercial awareness, financial control and risk management skills.
- Confident communicator, able to liaise at senior level internally and externally.
- Highly organised, detail focused and able to manage multiple priorities.
Desirable criteria:
- Experience using Asta or other PowerProject programming software.
