We are recruiting for a talented and motivated Chef de Partie - Pastry to join the culinary team at our luxury hotel. This is a full-time position, ideal for someone with previous experience in a four- or five-star hotel or fine dining environment. You should be able to effectively work as part of a fast‑paced team and have excellent communication and organisational skills. You will report directly to the Head Pastry Chef.

Location: Kensington, London

Employment Type: Full time

Working pattern: 5 days per week / Shift work / Monday to Sunday

Salary: £31,000 per annum + service charge

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and run the pastry section efficiently and independently.
  • Assist the senior chef in the day‑to‑day pastry operations.
  • Prepare and present high‑quality desserts for à la carte, banqueting, and afternoon tea service.
  • Ensure consistency and quality across all pastry offerings.
  • Train and mentor junior pastry staff, sharing skills and supporting development.
  • Maintain impeccable standards of cleanliness and organisation in your section.
  • Conduct ordering and stock rotation for your area of responsibility.
  • Always uphold food safety and hygiene standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in pastry and dessert preparation in a fine dining or luxury hotel environment.
  • Strong knowledge of classical and contemporary pastry techniques.
  • Creativity and attention to detail in presentation and flavour.
  • The ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards.
  • Excellent time management and clean, organised work habits.
  • A collaborative attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to food safety, hygiene regulations, and allergen awareness.
