Red Cannon are currently recruiting on behalf of growing business looking for a Finance Administrator Intern to join its office team.
Following significant growth, the business is strengthening its internal finance function and is looking for someone who wants to gain hands-on experience and potentially build a longer-term career with the company.
The Role
Working alongside the existing team, you'll support the day-to-day finance administration of the business, including:
- Raising and processing invoices.
- Monitoring outstanding payments.
- Supporting credit control and contacting customers regarding overdue invoices.
- Updating finance records and internal systems.
- Responding to customer queries by phone and email.
- Providing general finance and administrative support.
- Who We're Looking For
Previous finance experience would be useful but isn't essential. We're looking for someone who is:
- Organised with good attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with numbers.
- Confident using computers and willing to learn.
- Professional and confident communicating with customers.
- Reliable, proactive and keen to develop.
Experience with Excel or finance/accounting software would be beneficial.
Where Could It Lead?
This isn't intended to be an internship with nowhere to go afterwards.
For the right person, we would like to explore permanent employment following the six-week placement, with the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities including bookkeeping, payroll, credit control and wider finance administration.
There may also be the opportunity to progress through a relevant Finance or Accounting Apprenticeship as the role develops.
