We are looking for a brilliant Senior Web Developer reporting to the Software Development Team Leader. The role is responsible for developing and supporting software systems to serve internal engineering users, operating within a shared departmental technology ecosystem. They will also maintain and enhance existing systems, including legacy applications where required.
Design & Solution Development- Contribute to UI architecture, design systems, and front‑end engineering standards.
- Develop intuitive interfaces for complex engineering data and workflows.
- Balance user needs, technical constraints, and performance considerations in solution design.
- Build performant, responsive web applications handling complex datasets and real‑time information.
- Implement robust, maintainable solutions aligned with team standards and long-term architecture.
- Optimise applications with strong attention to performance and efficiency.
- Integrate with backend systems, APIs, and real‑time data services.
- Work closely with cross‑functional teams including Aerodynamics, Vehicle Performance, and Data Science.
- Partner with the Team Leader on technical direction and implementation strategy.
- Contribute to shared frameworks, components, and best practices across the department.
- Participate actively in technical discussions, planning, and design reviews.
- Contribute to a culture of engineering excellence and continuous improvement.
- Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design.
- Experience building data‑intensive applications and visualisations.
- Familiarity with real‑time data handling (e.g. WebSockets, streaming, or similar).
- Proficiency with version control and modern development workflows.
- Experience developing software for technical or engineering users.
- Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and usability in technical applications.
- Comfortable contributing to technical discussions and decision‑making.
