Red Bull UK is currently recruiting for a Logistics Manager to be based in London, UK. The purpose of the Logistics Manager is to lead, coach and develop the Red Bull Logistics team to deliver best-in-class performance across our Finished Goods (FG) and VISIT Logistics network. Ensure strong and robust control frameworks are in place across all our good movements, ensuring full customs compliance. Drive continuous improvement, cost efficiencies and customer-focused service delivery.
All the responsibilities we’ll trust you with:
- 3PL MANAGEMENT
- Own the relationship with our 3PL Partners, ensuring that all are kept within terms of our SLAs, contractual obligations and KPIs. You will lead regular performance reviews and highlight any areas of improvement.
- Be the point of escalation when KPIs are impacted and proactively seek improvements in our ways of working to drive benefit to the business (Cost saving, improved service etc.)
- Manage and lead the Logistic budget planning process. Accurately reflecting new news and proactively working with relevant stakeholders to identify risks / opportunities to the P&L.
- Lead and animate Cost-To-Serve initiatives, identifying customer-level cost drivers and partner with Commercial, Net-Revenue Management and Finance to drive structural changes in efficiency.
- Support and lead 3PL Tenders & Benchmark activities as required in partnership with Procurement & the Head of Supply Chain.
- Ensure accuracy of stock across all our 3PL sites, ensuring routine and robust stock reconciliations (Book to Book) and compliance with all internal reporting requirements.
- Monitor stock levels across our partners, working with our Planning team to understand spikes in storage / outbound requirements.
- Pallet management.
- BUDGET MANAGEMENT & REPORTING
- Own and manage the PDC Budget, with regular reviews with Finance & Key stakeholders, supporting our Budget cycles (FRE, SRE & Business plan).
- Animate monthly performance vs. plan and highlight key cost drivers and relevant risks and opportunities to the full year budget.
- Support with all Year End Audits reviewing process control.
- Support with all regulatory reporting requirements (incl. Corporate Carbon Footprint & EPR).
- Support with the budget and forecasting of Purchase Recycling Notes (PRNs), Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) and Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) costs.
- Ensure robust KPI reporting across all key metrics for the team.
- PROCESSES, SYSTEMS AND MISCELLANEOUS
- Support with our Month End & Year end closure process, ensuring robust controls in place with our 3PLs and Local teams.
- Support in providing all required documentation as part of internal & External audits (Inventory holding, Book-to-Book files, Purchase Orders, Invoices etc.) and lead process improvements.
- Ensure robust controls in place to ensure we maintain system stock accuracy & all systems are accurately updated.
- Work with International, Local and 3rd party (Freight Forwards, Customs brokers etc.) teams to ensure full Customs compliance across our portfolio.
- Conducting regular reviews and periodic self-audits and audits of our Suppliers.
- Ensure all our Team’s processes are documented appropriately, and the team are cross-trained to ensure business continuity and cover as required.
- TEAM MANAGEMENT
- Direct management of the team supporting with day to day logistic planning and execution, dealing with any logistics escalations in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure clear and challenging development plans are in plans that support their growth ambitions and prepare them for succession opportunities.
- Conduct regular 1:1s, quarterly check-ins and provide continuous feedback to your team to support their on-going development.
- Champion our Red Bull values and encourage our team to Go beyond, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT TEAM
- Play an active role on the SCMT driving Team Engagement, building our Red Bull culture.
- Support and lead continuous improvement areas and team projects.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the wider Operations team with ideas.
Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:
- Strong supply chain experience (within FMCG desirable).
- Experience of team management (2-3 direct reports).
- SAP WM & MM knowledge essential. SAP Transport Management desirable.
- Experience in 3PL management (Within FMCG desirable).
- Experience of Book-to-Book process and controls.
- Experience of Customs & Import processes and controls.
- Experience of Budget Management or Financial Planning (desirable).
- Analytical with advanced excel skills and ability to use data to tell stories. PowerBI experience desirable.
- Strong communicator, able to build relationships across all levels of the business.
- Project management experience an advantage.
