Red Bull UK is currently recruiting for a Compensation & Benefits Apprentice to be based in London, UK. At Red Bull, we believe in rewarding talent in ways that energise, motivate and retain. As a Compensation & Benefits Apprentice, you’ll support the day-to-day running of our reward and benefits programmes while working towards a recognised HR qualification. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about payroll, benefits, wellbeing and data reporting all while contributing to a dynamic People team. You will report into the Compensation & Benefits Manager and work with Finance and external partners to ensure Red Bull UK employees receive a competitive and seamless reward experience. The role offers a unique opportunity to learn, contribute and grow within a high‑energy, people‑focused team, gaining a strong grounding in core business and management aspects and the operational context of the business. Upon successful completion of your apprenticeship, you’ll achieve a BA honours degree in Business Management, complemented by accreditation from the Chartered Manager Institute. Responsibilities
- Compensation: Support the team in the administration and coordination of compensation programmes, including base salary, variable pay and annual review processes; assist with salary benchmarking and market analysis; prepare materials and communications for annual compensation reviews and bonus cycles; collaborate with People Business Partners to provide data and insights; help interpret compensation policies; liaise with HQ to adapt global compensation approach.
- Benefits: Administer employee benefits programmes (health insurance, pension, wellbeing, company car schemes); conduct monthly benefits inductions; manage vendor and insurance provider relationships; respond to employee benefits queries; monitor local trends and suggest improvements; ensure legal and budget compliance.
- Payroll & Compliance: Support payroll processing with Payroll, Insights & HRIS Specialist; reconcile payroll data and employee information; prepare reports for internal and external audits; maintain knowledge of employment and tax legislation relevant to compensation and benefits.
- Process Improvement & Systems: Work with the Compensation & Benefits Manager to maintain and continuously improve HR and payroll systems; review and simplify processes; prepare training materials and documentation for managers; support international mobility processes and coordinate with HQ and local teams.
- Audit: Organise and update employee files; verify contract, right‑to‑work, performance review documents; ensure HR system data accuracy; assist the HR team with audit documentation; update tracking spreadsheets for audit progress.
- Course Details: Competence in supporting organisational strategies and plans; understand project life cycles; plan, organise and manage resources and budgets; apply innovation and digital technologies; build and motivate teams; employ evidence‑based problem solving; adapt flexibly to organisational needs.
Qualifications
- Some previous experience or exposure to an office or administrative environment.
- Experience using Microsoft Office (especially Excel) or other data tools.
- Experience handling confidential information responsibly (desirable).
- Interest in developing a career in HR, particularly in reward, payroll or analytics.
- Basic understanding of HR and its role within an organisation.
- Understanding of the importance of data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Willingness to learn about employment law, pay structures, benefits programmes, and compliance requirements.
- Numerical accuracy and attention to detail: comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and calculations.
- Strong organisational skills: able to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records.
- Good communication skills: clear and professional written and verbal communication.
- Teamwork and collaboration: able to build positive working relationships with colleagues across HR, Finance, and external partners.
- Problem‑solving mindset: curious and proactive in finding better ways to complete tasks.
- Discretion and confidentiality: able to handle sensitive employee and pay data responsibly.
- Eagerness to learn: open to feedback, training, and development in compensation, benefits, and HR systems.
- 3 or more A‑Levels (or equivalent) at Grade C or Above.
- As you will be receiving a degree at the end of the course, you must not already have a degree to apply.
