Red Bull UK is currently recruiting for a Category Manager - Independent Wholesale to be based in London, UK.

The Red Bull Category Team offers best-in-class, retailer-specific advice to grow subcategory sales, category sales, and total store/digital sales. We focus on industry-leading insights and what’s next. The purpose of this role is to drive Total Soft Drinks and Energy category sales and profit with Independent Impulse customers and independent stores through practical Category Management initiatives and customer understanding. This includes building national relationships and supporting the Field team, trade press, trade associations, and indirectly supporting customers\' own teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Category Leadership: Develop best-in-class category leadership across customers to grow their soft drink & S&E business ahead of the market. Use insights to help retailers and wholesalers turn data into action.
  • Data Analysis: Provide insights, analyses, and recommendations to optimize long-term category growth in areas like Range & Distribution, Merchandising & Availability, Digital, and Promotions.
  • Client Relationships: Build credible relationships with strategic customers\' buyers, merchandising, and marketing managers to facilitate category growth.
  • Category Strategy: Design, implement, and measure trials for category initiatives. Utilize the UK field sales team to translate insights into action. Develop and deploy strategies for trade press and indirect channels to share insights with shopkeepers and caterers across the UK. Participate in category insight projects to drive business growth.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Proven experience in a category, sales, or retail role; customer-facing experience is desirable.
  • Experience with trade press is desirable.
  • Experience in wholesale or trade associations is desirable.
