Red Bull UK is currently recruiting for a Business Unit Controller (Tesco) FTC 13 Months to be based in the UK.
The purpose of this role is to lead the commercial strategy and execution for Tesco and One Stop, delivering sustainable growth and profitability for Red Bull across both retail partners. As Business Unit Controller, the role is accountable for setting the strategic direction, leading a high-performing account team, and ensuring alignment with Red Bull’s broader commercial objectives. This includes overseeing joint business planning, driving category leadership, and ensuring operational excellence across all touchpoints.
This role plays a critical part in shaping Red Bull’s presence within the UK’s largest grocery and convenience retailers. By fostering strong senior-level relationships, leveraging data-led insights, and championing cross-functional collaboration, the Business Unit Controller will unlock new opportunities for growth, enhance brand visibility, and ensure Red Bull remains a category thought leader in a fast-paced and competitive environment.

BUSINESS UNIT LEADERSHIP & STRATEGY
Develop and implement the strategic vision for the business unit in alignment with Red Bull\’s overall commercial objectives. Own the P&L for the business unit, ensuring revenue growth and profitability. Lead the execution of strategic Joint Business Plans, aligning with senior customer stakeholders to drive mutual growth. Identify and leverage market opportunities, influencing internal and external stakeholders to achieve success. Deliver alignment across the total Tesco Group, ensuring we optimize outcomes and reduce exposure.
COMMERCIAL & GROWTH STRATEGY
Define and execute a customer engagement strategy, ensuring Red Bull is positioned as the category leader. Drive commercial negotiations, including trade terms, cost price increases, and strategic investments. Optimise investment and trade spend across accounts to maximize return on investment.
CUSTOMER & MARKET LEADERSHIP
Maintain and grow Red Bull as the category leader, leveraging insights and innovation to influence customer decision-making. Build and maintain multi-level relationships with the customer to secure long-term partnerships. Ensure effective collaboration with Field Sales, Category Management, and Brand & Shopper Marketing teams to drive executional excellence. Work with HQ counterparts to maximise internal and external performance
LEADERSHIP & TEAM DEVELOPMENT
Lead, coach, and manage a high-performing team of NAMs & NAEs, leveraging their strengths to deliver high engagement. Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring, ensuring team members have clear development opportunities

- Proven experience in a senior commercial role
- Strong track record in P&L management, commercial negotiations, and strategic planning.
- Experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in analysing and leveraging sales data and market insights.
