Job Description:
RedBull UK is currently recruiting for a Business Unit Controller (Driving, Travel & High Street) to be based in the UK.
The Business Unit Controller (BUC) is responsible for defining and executing the strategic direction of the Driving and High Street business unit, delivering sustainable growth in volume, distribution, value share, profit, and net revenue. The role involves leading senior stakeholder engagement both internally and externally, ensuring best-in-class execution of RedBull\’s strategic priorities within the sector.
The BUC will lead a team of National Account Managers and National Account Executives, driving commercial excellence, customer collaboration, and category leadership. As the primary owner of the business unitβs P&L, the BUC is responsible for optimizing investment and ensuring the successful execution of Joint Business Plans.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the strategic vision for the business unit in alignment with RedBull\’s overall commercial objectives.
- Own the P&L for the business unit, ensuring revenue growth and profitability.
- Lead the execution of strategic Joint Business Plans, aligning with senior customer stakeholders to drive mutual growth.
- Identify and leverage market opportunities, influencing internal and external stakeholders to achieve success.
- Define and execute a customer engagement strategy, ensuring RedBull is positioned as the category leader.
- Drive commercial negotiations, including trade terms, cost price increases, and strategic investments.
- Optimize investment and trade spend across accounts to maximize return on investment.
- Maintain and grow RedBull as the category leader, leveraging insights and innovation to influence customer decision-making.
- Build and maintain multi-level relationships with the customer to secure long-term partnerships.
- Ensure effective collaboration with Field Sales, Category Management, and Brand & Shopper Marketing teams to drive executional excellence.
- Work with HQ counterparts to maximize internal and external performance.
- Lead, coach, and manage a high-performing team of NAMs & NAEs, leveraging their strengths to deliver high engagement.
- Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring, ensuring team members have clear development opportunities.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a senior commercial role.
- Strong track record in P&L management, commercial negotiations, and strategic planning.
- Experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in analyzing and leveraging sales data and market insights.
- Willingness to travel 30-40%.
