Red Bull UK is currently recruiting for an Advertising Manager to be based in London, UK. The role of the Advertising Manager is to support the Head of Advertising and is focused on working with both the Media Agency and wider Brand Team on the media planning and buying for Red Bull UK. The Advertising Manager will ensure best in class media planning and buying for all campaigns. You will use your media planning experience to ensure all campaigns are innovative with the consumer sitting at the heart of the plan, to ultimately drive awareness, consideration and brand love for Red Bull. As a member of the wider Brand Team, you will act as a guardian for the brand.
The Brand Team are responsible for all elements of Brand Marketing, including: Advertising, Consumer Campaigns, Portfolio Initiatives, New Product Launches and Consumer Insights.
Responsibilities:
- Brand Guardianship: You’ll be a brand guardian for Red Bull, managing how we communicate and show our brand to the people of the UK and to our customers, ensuring we communicate our brand beliefs and values, along with our product benefits and attributes in a relevant way for people in the UK.
- Media Management & Delivery: You’ll be finding the right solutions and making sure they are delivered in the right way, to ensure Red Bull UK is reaching the right audience, at the right time, with the right message.
- Brand Campaign Media Planning: Working with Brand Managers/Specialists and the Media Agency you will have the responsibility to develop media plans to deliver national campaigns that grow brand love & consideration of Red Bull which ladder up to the annual media strategy set by the Head of Advertising. You will write the media brief, manage the RTB, obtain internal sign off, ensure content trackers are accurate, monitor the campaign and review the media delivery for project learnings.
- Creative Development & Delivery: Working with the Head of Advertising, you will help to ensure Red Bull UK has the best creative for specified campaigns.
- Trade & SEM Planning: You will be responsible for the Trade print & digital media strategy and plan, working with departments outside the Brand Team to ensure the correct strategy is in place to hit the business goals. Working alongside the Media Agency you will be responsible for the media strategy, key word strategy and creative for SEM, across traditional search engines but also social search.
- Agency Relations: Working with our retained Media & Creative agency partners, you will be responsible for working with agencies to keep campaigns on track, making sure all key milestones are hit.
- Monthly Deliverables: You will be responsible for ensuring all the monthly deliverables the advertising team provide, are accurate and delivered in a timely manner.
- Media Performance Measurement: Working with the Head of Advertising, you will ensure that strong post campaign analysis occurs to deliver and apply learnings to future campaigns. You will lead the data collection process alongside HQ & the Media Agency for MMM.
- Budget Management: Manage areas of the media budget with responsibility, transparency and efficiency. You will ensure money is spent well to deliver return on investment and work closely with the Commercial Finance team to ensure budget is accounted correctly. You will be responsible for raising POs for your plans and carrying out quarterly budget reconciliations with the Media Agency.
Areas of Knowledge and Expertise:
- You’re a Red Bull drinker, you understand our brand and love what we do.
- You have a solid understanding of how brands grow and currently work brand/agency side on a global or big UK brand (FMCG preferable).
- You are curious and interested in how brands connect with consumers with meaning and purpose.
- You have worked on impactful campaigns of various sizes, from tactical online campaigns to multi-million-pound campaigns.
- You understand the UK Media landscape and have worked on campaigns using all the major media channels.
- You have in-depth knowledge and experience of planning across AV media channels.
- You are comfortable using data to inform decisions and to plan and optimize advertising campaigns.
- Proven professional experience in Advertising/Media either brand side or agency side.
- You are capable and confident in budget management with a track record of handling campaigns with multiple budget lines.
- You are highly numerate and comfortable interpreting data into useful insights to inform media strategies/briefs.
- You are a good project manager with experience of coordinating internal stakeholders at all levels, to ensure campaigns run smoothly.
- Your communication skills are excellent, and you are comfortable presenting to an audience.
- You are a highly organised, autonomous, self-starter with a focus on results and stakeholders.
- You have high standards for your work and strive to deliver excellence rather than just getting the job done.
- You create a gravitational pull towards ambitious goals that others want to follow.
- You are collaborative and have a positive, solutions-focused mindset.
