Red Bull Technology have exciting opportunities for undergraduate students to spend a year as part of our F1 Controls team. The placements will run from summer of 2027 for one year and offer the opportunity to demonstrate your enthusiasm and apply your knowledge in an open and dynamic environment.
The position is targeted towards Mechanical, Control System and Automotive Engineering students. Candidates will require excellent mathematical and analytical skills and an engineering background. Knowledge of control system principles and experience with Matlab/Simulink would also be advantageous.
The successful candidate will develop skills in problem solving, creativity, teamwork, planning, innovation, and communication whilst performing the following tasks:
- Understand interactions between software and hardware in the context of electro-hydraulic control systems
- Support and data analysis of race, test and dynamometer events
- Develop automated routines and processes for data analysis and metrics generation
- Provide real-time event support
