We are looking for an experienced Aerodynamics Engineer to join the Aerodynamics Performance Group in our highly successful Formula One team.

This exciting opportunity based at our Milton Keynes Campus will primarily involve supporting our Race and Aerodynamics Teams through the analysis of Track, Wind Tunnel and CFD data.

The role will involve regular attendance at the track for race and test events.

Your Impact

In addition to supporting the development of new aerodynamic analysis tools and performance methodologies, the role involves providing trackside engineering support at race and test events.

Key responsibilities include pre-event aerodynamic setup optimisation, management and validation of aerodynamic datasets, real-time performance analysis, and ensuring the highest standards of aerodynamic quality and measurement accuracy are maintained throughout each event.

What we look for

You will have extensive experience working within Formula One, gaining exposure to both Wind Tunnel and CFD development.

Previous experience in both Aero Development and Aero Performance roles will be a distinct advantage.

You will hold an Engineering degree with a specialisation in Aerodynamics and be able to demonstrate:

  • A thorough understanding of the principles of Aerodynamics and their application to Formula One.
  • Extensive experience of data analysis tools and techniques with a focus on correlation between environments.
  • A good understanding of numerical modelling techniques and experience with handling large and complex datasets.
  • Experience with the practicalities of on car aerodynamic measurement systems and maintaining high standards of aerodynamic component quality.
  • An aptitude for problem-solving and innovative thinking.
  • A flexible approach and good communication skills.
  • An ability to deliver results under pressure to tight deadlines.
