Red Bull Advanced Technologies are looking for a No2 Mechanic who will be responsible for undertaking the assembly and disassembly of the RB17 Hypercar in a professional, safe and timely manner while working to clearly defined specifications and standards. This role involves working as part of a team that supports events as required whilst ensuring that the highest industry standards are always maintained. This role is an 18 Month FTC.
Role Responsibilities
- Work with the No1 Car Mechanic to ensure every new chassis build is carried out in a safe, timely and professional manner and in accordance with procedural documents issued by Test Team and car Design.
- Prepare, assemble, and disassemble test cars before and after each test event to the highest standards as directed by No. 1 Mechanic.
- Ensure the highest standard of workmanship whilst ensuring that any safety or reliability issues are brought to the immediate attention of the No. 1 Mechanic.
- Support the Supply Chain team with turnarounds and builds as required.
- Support lifing and quality of the car/chassis build and turnarounds. This involves working as a team with the Parts Coordinator, Assembly Planning Controller and Operations Group to achieve 100% reliability.
- Maintain personal responsibility for specific tasks and ensure they are carried out and completed within an agreed timeframe in a constructive and positive manner.
- Build and service any sub-assemblies (not covered by the Gearbox, Hydraulics or Electronics groups) as requested by the Test Team.
- Maintain a scrupulously clean and tidy working environment, whether factory or trackside, while always working within the departments COSHH guidelines and ensuring all relevant Health and Safety requirements are met.
- Travel globally to all test locations as required.
