The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.
Responsibilities
- Run the wind tunnel and ensure the wind tunnel test programme is carried out in a safe, efficient and timely manner.
- Provide first line support should issues occur and maintain/service all of the plant and equipment used to run the wind tunnel.
- Work on a four on/four off shift pattern (12-hour shifts) including nights on a rotation basis.
- Provide operational and first-line support of the state-of-the-art wind tunnel and its associated systems.
- Be an integral part of the team responsible for the smooth technical operation of the facility.
Qualifications
- Technically minded with a strong background in engineering.
- Good IT skills and ability to communicate effectively to a variety of people.
- Able to work under considerable pressure.
- Previous experience in a similar role is ideal but graduates looking to make their first step into Formula 1 are welcome.
- Knowledge of the following would also be advantageous:
- MTS Flat Trac Rolling Road
- Servo-Hydraulic control systems
- PIV acquisition and processing
