The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 Β£ per year.
Responsibilities include running the wind tunnel and ensuring the wind tunnel test programme is carried out in a safe, efficient and timely manner. Provide first line support should issues occur and maintain/service all of the plant and equipment used to run the wind tunnel, working on a four on/four off shift pattern (12-hour shifts) including nights on a rotation basis. Provide operational and first-line support of the state-of-the-art wind tunnel and its associated systems, and be an integral part of the team responsible for the smooth technical operation of the facility.
Qualifications: Technically minded with a strong background in engineering, good IT skills, and ability to communicate effectively to a variety of people, and to work under considerable pressure. Previous experience in a similar role is ideal but graduates looking to make their first step into Formula 1 are welcome. Knowledge of the following would also be advantageous:
- MTS Flat Trac
- Rolling Road
- Servo-Hydraulic control systems
- PIV acquisition and processing
