Red Bull Powertrains has an exciting opportunity to join our technical team as we transition from building our team’s first Power Units to refining them into a race‑ready package, all aimed at delivering the most competitive car on the 2026 Formula One grid. As the Product Validation Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring that the F1 Power Unit meets the durability requirements and readiness before race and test events. Leading a group that validates PU operation through design of dyno‑based tests, metric development, process development, and fault detection. You will be bridging the gap between design, development, and trackside application by understanding, predicting and tracking the duty of the F1 Power Unit.
Some key accountabilities of the role are listed below:
- Lead, develop and grow a team of validation engineers with strong system‑level understanding, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
- Define and implement the product validation strategy for all PU configurations across the F1 season and long‑term programme.
- Define validation objectives, required test content, and expected outcomes to prove the PU boundary including performance, durability, and integration.
- Product Validation support for test and race events where required from the Remote Ops Room.
- Define roles, develop skills, and create a high‑performing, quality‑focused team culture.
We’re looking for someone with:
- A degree with a 2:1 minimum in an engineering subject or related field.
- Experience in data analysis, statistical modelling, and machine learning desirable.
- Experience working with large datasets and utilizing data analysis tools such as Python, MATLAB, or similar.
- Familiarity with power unit systems, engine and ERS durability metrics, and Formula One racing rules and regulations.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to derive actionable insights from complex data.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced racing environment.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Passion for motorsports, Formula One racing, and a deep interest in power unit technology.
If you’re driven to win, thrive in a fast‑paced environment, and want to help define the future of data‑driven performance in Formula One, this is your chance. At Red Bull Powertrains, we push the limits, fight for every victory, and get things done with relentless focus. Joining us means being part of a high‑performance team that thrives on collaboration, trust, and ambition. We celebrate wins, learn from challenges, and take our work seriously—but not ourselves.
Alongside a competitive salary, you’ll enjoy:
- Bonuses
- Private healthcare
- A pension scheme
- On‑site gym
- Free daily food allowance
- And many more!
Most importantly, you’ll play a key role in powering championship‑winning cars. If you're ready to be part of something extraordinary, apply now and help shape the future of F1.
