As a Senior Aerodynamics Performance Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping the aerodynamic performance of our Formula One car. You will lead the interpretation of CFD, wind tunnel, and track data, guiding development direction and influencing key design decisions.
Your expertise will be critical in delivering performance gains, working cross-functionally to translate complex aerodynamic insights into race-winning outcomes.
We’re looking for someone who can:
- Lead the design and analysis of aerodynamic components using CFD, wind tunnel testing, and track correlation
- Drive aerodynamic performance optimisation to enhance overall vehicle efficiency, balance, and stability
- Provide technical leadership and direction within the aero performance group
- Collaborate closely with design, vehicle dynamics, and track engineering teams to integrate aerodynamic concepts into the car
- Interpret and synthesise track and test data to identify development opportunities and guide iteration cycles
The successful candidate will have:
- A degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline (advanced degree advantageous)
- Extensive experience in aerodynamics within a high-performance or motorsport environment (F1 experience highly desirable)
- Deep understanding of aerodynamics and fluid dynamics principles, with proven application in performance optimisation
- Strong expertise in CFD tools, wind tunnel testing, and advanced data analysis techniques
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and influence technical direction
