What you’ll be doing
As a Junior Production Controller, you’ll support the daily operations of the Drivetrain Sub‑assembly & Hydraulics (DTSA/HYDS) group. Your focus will be on helping the team stay organised, prepared, and ready for the next shift. Your responsibilities will include:
- Daily schedule support — Assisting with planning and administering the production schedule, ensuring jobs are clearly defined, achievable, and properly kitted.
- Material coordination — Checking material availability and working with buyers and manufacturing group leaders to confirm requirements.
- Team collaboration — Working closely with DTSA/HYDS Group Leaders to understand workload, priorities, and capacity throughout the shift.
- Works order administration — Taking ownership of basic works order tasks, including reviewing bill of materials, tracking shortages, and supporting event‑related requirements.
- Rescheduling support — Helping liaise with Manufacturing/Assembly Groups and Production Controllers when capacity is tight, ensuring tasks are rescheduled or outsourced where needed.
- Project tracking — Supporting the Assembly Engineering Coordinator by monitoring part/project delivery status and escalating issues when necessary.
