Your role involves continually interrogating departmental working practices to provide the best workflows, identifying bottlenecks, documenting problems, and prioritising work. You will define, document, and communicate the engineering practices we should adhere to, ultimately focusing on how we design, build, test, and optimise a PU.
You will design and develop software to optimise these processes, gather requirements and feedback from all users, ensuring all relevant stakeholders are involved. Collaborating with other internal software development teams, you will deliver the right systems using the most appropriate technologies available. Additionally, you will deliver software and process solutions to enable the PU build and assembly teams, ensuring a robust and accurate process. Developing simulation tools to provide fast, accurate simulations is also part of your responsibilities.
Essential skills:- Educated to a degree level or equivalent
- Proficient with Python or similar languages
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong professional relationships across the Red Bull Technology Campus
- Understanding of what makes up a hybrid power unit
- Knowledge and understanding of the design of mechanical or electrical components and systems for manufacture and assembly
- Experience managing SharePoint sites, and developing forms and workflows with Power Automate
- Understanding of version control software, such as Git or SVN
- Experience using task management software, such as DevOps or Jira
- Understanding of Linux operating systems and batch queuing systems
