Red Bull Powertrains is offering an incredible opportunity for an Analysis CAD Engineer to join our team as we head into our first-ever racing season with a Red Bull designed power unit. You’ll be at the heart of our operation, developing and perfecting race-ready performance, playing a crucial role in delivering a power unit capable of competing at the sharp end of the 2026 Formula One grid.
Working within our Engineering Capabilities department you will be developing and maintaining robust NX-based models to improve and streamline the generation of simulation CAD geometry for CFD and FEA analysis. You will work with the Simulation and Design engineers to generate high-quality datasets, prepare CAD data, and identify and resolve reoccurring issues to reduce computational costs and enhance model accuracy.
What you’ll be doing:
- Create simulation-specific geometry in NX, including:
- Defeatured solids and simplified representations for FE models
- Ensure geometry is simulation-ready, including watertight solids, consistent face/feature naming, clean topology suitable for meshing, and fluid volumes for CFD
- Midsurface and shell-ready models
What we’re looking for:
- Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Strong understanding of CFD principles and workflows
- Experience in scripting or automation for engineering applications (e.g., Python, VB.NET, C#)
- Advanced Proficiency in Siemens NX CAD and Teamcenter PLM system:
- Strong expertise in NX parametric modelling.
- Attention to detail to ensure robust, failure-resistant parametric models.
- Deep understanding of geometry defeaturing, abstraction, and simplification for analysis.
- Experience with NX journals and automation (e.g., Python, VB.NET, C#)
At Red Bull Powertrains, we push the limits, fight for every victory, and get things done with relentless focus. Joining us means being part of a high-performance team that thrives on collaboration, trust, and ambition. We celebrate wins, learn from challenges, and take our work seriously—but not ourselves. Alongside a competitive salary, you’ll enjoy:
- On-site gym
- Free daily food allowance
- And many more!
Most importantly, you’ll play a key role in powering championship-winning cars. If you're ready to be part of something extraordinary, apply now and help shape the future of F1.
