Red Bull Powertrains have multiple exciting opportunities to be a part of our expanding Power Unit engineering team. Our open, dynamic environment ensures that everyone can make a valuable contribution and we are looking for Engine Builders/Assembly Technicians to help deliver World Championship winning cars year on year.
Based from our Milton Keynes campus you will be responsible for supporting the operation of the Assembly Group covering all aspects of power unit build, service and maintenance both at the factory and on event support as required. You will meet the highest standards in all areas of quality, commitment and conduct.
Knowledge and Experience required for our Engine Builder roles:
- Cover all aspects of power train assembly with high emphasis on Engine Build processes and procedures, Turbocharger, MGUK, and ERS both at the factory and on event as requested by the Engine Build Team Leader or Trackside Chief Mechanic.
- Prepare power units for both dyno and trackside operations.
- Assist with other activities deemed appropriate by the Engine Build Team Leader or Head of PU Operations.
- Manage all build specification, up revisions and component lifing in accordance with Production Control and Technical Operations instructions.
- Communicate assembly related quality issues to the appropriate key stakeholders ensuring faults/NCR’s are recorded via the internal business Faults System.
- Become an integral member of the Assembly Group team, providing support to all team members and promoting open discussion with members throughout the business.
- Ensure the highest standards of operation, organisation and cleanliness are met.
Key Attributes of the Engine Builders:
- Demonstrate a high level of technical understanding and ICE assembly competence.
- Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings and follow technical build processes and procedures including checklist data entry.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel to enable operation of internal business systems.
