This role is a Project Management role for an individual with a strong background in Mechanical and Electrical (M&E). As a projects team, we deliver numerous multi-disciplinary projects, some are more technical than others. The role requires a team player who can shoulder responsibility for several projects at any one time and support on other projects led by other Project Managers.

The Mechanical and Electrical Project Manager role will be integral to supporting the expansion of our dynamic Red Bull Campus facilities. You will be responsible for guiding M&E designs for our smaller projects as well as providing input on our larger schemes.

Accountabilities:

  • M&E specific responsibilities:
    • Act as a point of contact for members of the team to support and guide on M&E requirements for projects.
    • Scoping, design and development of mechanical and electrical systems on various projects, supporting a Project Manager or leading on projects of your own.
    • Detailed involvement in design development on larger projects, utilising your skills to produce detailed room data sheets, interface schedules and phasing documents.
    • Supporting with, and at times, leading the tendering and contract appointment stages for a project.
    • Manage projects on site working closely with the Main Contractor to ensure all works adhere to programme and schedules to minimise disruption to the business.
    • Review detailed cost analysis summaries throughout the project term to ensure all costs are maintained within pre-agreed budgets.
  • Project Manager specific responsibilities:
    • Delivery of construction projects as required by the business, ranging from small scale to larger value schemes.
    • Scoping up packages of works, obtaining quotes, reviewing, obtaining financial approval, and instructing works.
    • Gaining the necessary permissions including financial and Building Control approval.
    • Developing and managing project delivery programmes, managing risks.
    • Develop project H&S documentation, including CDM requirements, reviewing contractor RAMS prior to works on site.
    • Working with other members of the Projects Team, drive the design and delivery of larger projects.
    • Day to day liaison with departments and contractors when projects are in the planning and delivery phases.
    • Ensure contractors work to CDM and other H&S regulations on site.
  • Additional Accountabilities:
    • Continuous development of M&E knowledge, building up your skillset and latest standards.
    • Designing for efficiency – developing our design standards to improve our energy or sustainability credentials.
    • Work closely with the wider facilities team to ensure assets are accessible and maintainable.
    • Project Planning and Scheduling: Assisting in the development and maintenance of project schedules, ensuring all tasks are completed on time.
    • Coordination and Communication: Facilitating communication between various stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients.
    • Documentation and Reporting: Managing project documentation, including contracts, permits, and progress reports.
    • Problem-Solving: Reviewing issues with installations to identify and resolve problems.
