Responsibilities
- Work with the No 1 Car Mechanic to complete every new chassis build safely, timely and in accordance with procedural documents issued by the Test Team and car Design.
- Prepare, assemble and disassemble test cars before and after each test event to the highest standards as directed by the No 1 Mechanic.
- Ensure the highest standard of workmanship and immediately raise any safety or reliability issues to the No 1 Mechanic.
- Support the Supply Chain team with turnarounds and builds as required.
- Support lifting and quality of the car/chassis build and turnarounds, working with the Parts Coordinator, Assembly Planning Controller and Operations Group to achieve 100% reliability.
- Maintain personal responsibility for specific tasks, ensuring they are completed within an agreed timeframe and in a constructive and positive manner.
- Build and service any sub-assemblies (not covered by the Gearbox, Hydraulics or Electronics groups) as requested by the Test Team.
- Maintain a clean and tidy working environment, whether factory or trackside, while adhering to COSHH guidelines and all relevant health and safety requirements.
- Travel globally to all test locations as required.
