We are looking for a Composite Laminator to join the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide a working environment and organisation in line with ISO certification and 6S lean methodology.
- Accurate & timely input into Manufacturing Execution System (MES) & Production Management tools accounting for all productive time.
- Preparation of Production Tooling in line with Standard Production Specification (SPS).
- Composite Tooling Manufacture in line with technical instruction method & signoff approval process.
- Composite Component Manufacture in line with technical instruction method & signoff approval process.
- To operate laser projection equipment to guide & confirm key measurements inputs.
- Carry out Romer measurement & Laser Tracker scans as required to define or confirm critical feature positions.
- Accurate & timely input entry into the Manufacturing History Record (MHR) documentation to which each part is accompanied by.
- Expectation to perform all tasks with the intent of achieving Quality targets and right first time (RFT).
- Ensure F1TS time sheet is imputed accurately and timely accounting for all working hours and shift.
Key Competencies:
- Demonstrate ability to read/interpret technical instruction (drawings, laminating manuals, etc) to carry out laminating tasks, right first time, to schedule.
- Demonstrate an effective laminating skill set with good technical knowledge of pre-preg materials, laminate specification, weaving orientation, use of herringbone patterns, complex layup procedures/techniques, use of mandrels (or similar), respecting & achieving visual carbon detailing expectations.
- Demonstrate extensive control, knowledge, and competency in using hand-tools & equipment relevant to task.
- Competent skill set to reliably vacuum bag a wide range of components moulds using industry techniques and procedures.
- Ability to use MES (Manufacturing Execution System) & MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to log activity and to interrogate job content.
- Competent use of Laminating technology such as Laser Projection, Romer Arms & Laser Tracker scanners.
