  • The ideal candidate will be a confident and self-motivated individual with the ability to be innovative, whilst still being able to follow and improve set processes.
  • You must be hard working and possess a proven track record within the ICT sector.
  • Able to identify the requirements of projects
  • Accurately prepare quotations considering all costs associated with the delivery of schemes
  • Provide detailed hand over project files to the operations team to allow for the successful delivery of contracts
  • Correspond, liaise and negotiate with clients, suppliers, contractors and colleagues
  • Able to manage situations when workload presents conflicting demands on time availability, thus demonstrating an ability to effectively prioritise and schedule
  • Able to monitor progress and implement controls to ensure tasks are achieved to time, cost and quality
  • Develop and select effective solutions to challenges, opportunities and risk
  • Communicate facts, ideas and proposals to internal and external stakeholders in an effective and persuasive manner
  • Work with others to develop a wide array of knowledge and skills throughout the team
  • Deliver efficient and effective client service at all times
  • Working closely with key members of the project team, liaising with clients and suppliers
  • BTEC in Building Studies, Building Engineering or Building Management or a HNC / HND / Degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management / Civil Engineering
  • RCDD, CDCDP or extensive data centre ICT experience preferable
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in cost estimating for infrastructure preferably in a managerial role
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and industry standards
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex technical documents and drawings
  • Proficiency in cost estimating software and tools.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • The primary responsibility is to develop accurate and timely estimates, and submit competitive bids and proposals for the company's clients
  • Analyse and interpret detailed client requests, drawings and specifications to then determine and estimate truly value-engineered solutions or alternatives to project requirements
  • Utilise all aspects of your expertise to submit bespoke bids and proposals to clients
  • Attend pre and post tender bid meetings with clients and their representatives
  • Work under deadline pressures in an efficient, composed and calm manner
  • Assist and support the business as a whole to meet their financial targets
  • Help to identify and develop potential new opportunities for work
  • Help to identify new suppliers and subcontractors to improve performance and profit
  • Offer support, guidance and mentoring to the Sales team where necessary.
  • Manage the team's workload to ensure sufficient time is allocated to produce accurate bids.
  • Effectively manage the pipeline to identify and win new contracts.
  • Review and write all PQQ submissions to the respective clients.
  • Manage all tender portals from various clients.
  • Write clear, concise and articulate tender proposals and clarifications.
  • Manage the submission of the tender, attending internal and external tender meetings with either the client or internal operations.
  • Ensuring the completion of all relevant and associated bid documentation, including presentations for the bid proposal are completed.
  • Liaise with the Commercial Director to ensure any tenders are indicative of our business Providing feedback to the relevant departments if either successful or unsuccessful with the bids.
  • Ensuring that work processes and models are adequately documented, validated and stored within a clear directory structure with complete version history.
  • Identify areas for systems and operational improvement within the team; implement and measure.
  • Reviewing existing pricing agreements to identify opportunities for enhancing current & future performance.
  • Building Client / Stakeholder relationships
