We are seeking Residential Children\’s Support Workers / Therapeutic Childcare Workers, ideally with Education experience, for various residential services in the local area. These include homes specializing in autism, speech and language disorders, moderate to severe learning difficulties, associated behavioral challenges, and therapeutic services for children with emotional and behavioral needs.

Opportunities are also available for Senior roles in Burton on Trent, Mickleover, and Derby. Applicants should ideally have NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Children\’s Residential Care, Children & Young People\’s Workforce, or Young People & Family Practitioner.

Hours and shifts vary, including fixed patterns and rotas planned 4+ weeks in advance.

This role involves supporting children with learning disabilities or in therapeutic environments—building self-esteem, encouraging community participation, and achieving positive outcomes. Responsibilities include teaching life skills, organizing day trips and healthcare appointments, delivering personal care, and administering medication.

The role also includes undertaking regular night checks, completing paperwork to a high standard, and providing personal care.
