The role involves empowering and enabling agile teams to deliver great digital products. We are looking for an inspiring Senior Delivery Lead to join our fast-growing and passionate team. You will work with a diverse range of clients on innovative and challenging projects, coaching clients, resolving complex problems, and enabling highly skilled, cross-functional teams. All projects are Lean/Agile with integrated teams of creative and technical specialists.
You will be supported by a Director overseeing a portfolio of projects and Principal Consultants on larger engagements, while being empowered to lead an enthusiastic, creative, and hardworking delivery team.
Key Responsibilities
- Discipline expertise: Accountable for project planning and alignment, data-based forecasting, reporting, and identifying and resolving project risks, impediments or blockers. Responsible for end-to-end delivery quality, managing the flow of work within delivery teams, the impact of dependencies, and progress towards key milestones with client counterparts. Enable continuous improvement and high-quality outcomes through Lean/Agile methodologies.
- Collaborative leader: Facilitate sessions between stakeholders, including standups and retrospectives, and align across teams by leading dependency mapping workshops. Collaborate with Product and Tech Leads to support backlog development and implementation of the technical strategy. Be the first point of escalation to resolve conflicts and coach others on team dynamics and project delivery.
- Client influencer: Communicate confidently with a broad range of stakeholders, aligning them to the delivery strategy. Influence client counterparts to adopt Lean/Agile practices and improve ways of working. Become a trusted advisor to clients by collaborating to deliver business and user value.
- Build Red Badger’s delivery capability: Care for people’s careers and well-being, with potential line management responsibilities. Contribute to Red Badger’s Delivery discipline community by sharing knowledge and providing peer coaching.
- Contribute to Red Badger’s place in the industry: Champion Red Badger’s ways of working and be an ambassador for the brand.
Your experience
- Delivered a range of digital products using Lean/Agile methodologies.
- Led and supported multidisciplinary teams including designers, testers, developers, and product managers.
- A proven track record of delivering multiple releases in complex environments.
- Experience maintaining process and delivery quality on existing projects.
- Managed budgets and worked in time-pressured environments.
- Used delivery data to forecast key deliverables and communicate project status clearly.
- Proactively spotted risks to delivery and helped teams mitigate them.
- Exceptional organisational and communication skills, tailored to suit audience needs.
- Exceptional facilitation, diplomacy, and negotiation skills.
- A love for end-to-end delivery and a desire to continuously learn more about technology and motivate others.
