About the Role


In this hands-on operations focussed role, you'll handle a wide variety of tasks, from troubleshooting and automating processes to regular maintenance of platforms. Working closely with experienced Engineers and Consultants, you'll gain exposure to a variety of customer technologies and high-impact projects in a fast-paced, professional environment.


Responsibilities


We are seeking skilled Engineers to join our team and support a key customer contract. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing Servers, including build, configuration, patching, and maintenance, with a focus on MS Windows, Linux, Virtualization and Storage.


You will also work on documenting and automating processes, maintaining builds, and supporting the deployment applications. Strong attention to detail, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to handle customer requests efficiently are essential.


Candidates must hold DV clearance or be eligible to obtain clearance due to the nature of the role. We are willing to consider candidates with SC clearance that are willing to be sponsored for DV clearance.


Experience and soft skills


Skilled in installing and configuring Windows Server environments, both physical and virtual, Linux and Windows. Experienced working within diverse teams, demonstrating strong communication, adaptability, and relationship-building skills. Adept at making timely decisions, managing tasks independently, and delivering results to meet deadlines and evolving requirements. Reliable and solution-focused, with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Willingness to learn new technologies and skills.

Location and Work pattern


Work is on Customer site in Stevenage. Remote work is not possible for the service work but as the role develops, project work can be done remotely


Our service support runs from 7am to 7pm, Monday to Friday, with some overtime, weekend, and out-of-hours work expected. Shifts typically follow 7am-3pm, 9am-5 pm, or 11am-7pm patterns for the service.


Travel within the UK is sometimes required and all expenses are reimbursed.
