Our client, a hugely successful financial organisation based in Holborn has a brand-new opening for a Copy Editor to join them on a 12-month FTC. You will be part of a small close-knit team and can work mostly remotely for this position.
You will have previous relevant experience and ideally come from a corporate background such as finance, legal or medical would be highly beneficial.
Key duties:
- Correction of spelling, grammar and typo errors.
- Check consistency of style, format and page layout.
- Ensure continuity of presentation throughout.
- Formatting tables and charts.
- Cross-checking financials, as well as ensuring there are no conflicting statements.
- Liaising internally with analysts on changes and publication timelines.
- Final check of documents before publication.
- Liaising internally and ensuring changes are communicated throughout, as necessary.
- Liaising internally regarding timelines of publications.
- Develop and embed new processes, ensuring updates are clearly communicated.
- Support with onboarding and training for new starters on systems.
The ideal candidate:
- Excellent editorial experience/background β minimum three yearsβ experience ideally within financial services, legal or medical.
- High attention to detail along with being numerate.
- Knowledge of working within a financial organisation would be a real advantage.
- Supervisory Analyst experience would also be an advantage.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and Adobe Creative Cloud are essential.
- Familiar with Blue Matrix would be a preference.
- Able to see projects through from start to finish.
- Able to work well under pressure and handle fast changing priorities.
- Able to turn work around quickly and accurately.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
12-month FTC ideally to start end/beg. March Mainly remote working β 1 or 2 days per week in the office.
