The role:
Deliver short, practical classroom sessions (approx. 7.5 hrs/week) on employability skills – CVs, interviews, workplace behaviours.
Accompany learners into their workplace placements (approx. 25 hrs/week), helping them understand instructions, settle in, and build confidence — with the aim of reducing support as independence grows.
Work with learners to meet their EHCP outcomes, ensuring the right support is in place.
Liaise with employers to help them get the best from interns.
Engage with families and carers to keep everyone informed and involved.
What we’re looking for:
Background in job coaching, employability, education, or progression support.
Strong communication skills to encourage and guide learners.
No teaching qualification required – training provided.
Experience supporting young people in education or work settings helpful but not essential.
You might have worked as an Employment Advisor, Careers Advisor, Employer Engagement Consultant, Recruitment Consultant, Progression Coach, IAG Worker or Youth Worker. You might have also had an educaitonal background such as a Tutor or Assessor.
