Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of clients in HMP Downview, providing support around training, education, employment, and signposting to services covering housing and resettlement needs.
  • Provide 1:1 support and guidance, setting goals and milestones to aid progress and ensure well-rounded pre-release support.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Applicants must have experience working with individuals within the criminal justice system, either in a prison or custodial setting.
  • Alternative experience supporting vulnerable clients in mental health, substance abuse, or homelessness is valuable.
  • Criminology graduates with volunteer experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Previous roles that are relevant include prison officer, probation officer, resettlement worker, supported housing officer, drug and alcohol worker, careers advisor, employment advisor, or hostel worker.
