They are recruiting for Employment Specialists, with roles available across Manchester City Centre and Stockport.

The Role

You’ll be fully trained to support people with a learning disability into employment, using two key routes:

  • 1:1 advice and guidance – You’ll typically have around 8 meetings per week with participants, supporting with:
  • CV creation
  • Job applications
  • Interview preparation
  • Employer engagement – There is lots of training on this. You’ll reach out to organisations that could be a good fit for your customers, exploring potential opportunities and discussing reasonable adjustments that may help them succeed in work.
  • Location / Working Pattern

    This is a community-based role, working from locations such as community centres, libraries, or partner provider offices. All travel between sites is paid (excluding your normal commute). You will spend one day per week in the Stockport office for meetings and training.

    Experience Needed

    • You don’t need employment support experience — you’ll be trained.
    • Voluntary or paid experience supporting vulnerable people (e.g. mental health support, mentoring, university projects)
    • 6+ months’ experience in a target-driven role (sales, recruitment, customer service) involving outbound business development (businesses or consumers)
    • You’ll bring empathy, strong communication skills, and confidence working independently in the community.
