The role

  • Deliver engaging Functional Skills English and Maths lessons (Entry 3 to Level 2)
  • Teach mainly 16-18-year-olds, many with EHCPs or additional needs
  • Manage a rolling cohort of around 60 learners (growing towards 80)
  • Use existing Pearson schemes of work and prep learners for weekly exams
  • Have one day a week for admin and planning from home

About you

  • Experienced delivering Functional Skills (reformed curriculum preferred)
  • Confident teaching the 16-18 age group
  • SEN or employability experience a bonus
  • You don't need to reinvent the wheel; everything's in place, ready to teach
  • Teaching qualification is essential (AET 3 / PTLLS min)
