This is a hybrid role for an award-winning charity recognised as a great employer (Best Companies / Investors In People). They are launching a new service, and you will be supporting individuals who are employed but struggling and in need of help. Many may be signed off from work due to anxiety, stress, or physical support needs.
Your role will involve:
- Helping individuals remain in or return to work: This could include discussing a phased return, negotiating reasonable adjustments, advocating on their behalf with their employer, and supporting them in overcoming workplace barriers. You will also help them access external support services when needed.
- Assisting in securing new employment: Some individuals may need to explore a different role or career. You'll work with them on setting career goals, creating a new CV, job searching, applying for jobs, and preparing for interviews.
You will be responsible for securing your own referrals, primarily from GPs, Social Prescribers, or the Jobcentre Plus (JCP). While there are no job start targets, you'll aim to bring around 10 new starters into the programme each month. Participants typically stay on the programme for 4 months, exiting once all agreed action plan tasks have been completed.
This is a new contract, with an initial expectation of a 50-50 split between home and community work. However, candidates should be prepared to work in the community for up to 4 days a week, if necessary.
The salary range is £28,000 - £33,700 per annum, depending on experience. To apply, you must have experience in employability, such as working as an Employment Advisor, Job Coach, Careers Advisor, or Employer Engagement Consultant. There are over 20 positions available. You will typically cover 1-2 adjacent boroughs, which could include: Haringey, Enfield, Camden, Islington, Barnet, Harrow, Hounslow, Hillingdon, Brent, Hammersmith, Fulham, Ealing, Westminster, Kensington, and Chelsea.
