Carer

Full-Time No home office possible

We are looking for a kind, active and reliable Carer to support a young lady with special needs who lives independently in her own home in Lancaster.

A staff room is provided for on‑site carers.

About the Role

You’ll be part of a friendly team providing day‑to‑day support and companionship. Duties include:

Accompanying the client on trips and outings
Supporting her with daily activities
Helping with light household tasks
Encouraging independence and fun in daily life

We’re looking for someone who

Is caring, patient, and has a great sense of humour
Works well as part of a team but can also use their own initiative
Ideally has experience in care (training provided if not)
Holds a full, clean driving licence (a car is provided)
Lives locally to South Lancaster and can reliably commute to the client’s home

Hours & Pay

Shifts available: 24‑hour, day, and evening shifts
Pay: National Minimum Wage (£12.21 per hour aged 21 plus)
Leave: Six weeks’ annual leave (pro rata)

Requirements

Must be local to Lancaster
Two professional references
