You will lead a team of 12 supporting people within the criminal justice system to rebuild their lives, working for a charity that is genuinely great to work for. They have won awards (Best Companies) and are big on developing their people. Both Regional Managers worked their way up internally, and even the current manager in this post stepped up from a frontline role after just 12 months.

The service supports people in prison and those released into the community, helping them with employment, housing, healthcare, wellbeing, debt, and benefits. It is a role where you can see the difference you are making.

What your week looks like:

  • 2 days in their Peterborough Community Hub - A really nice space in the town centre. You will be based alongside another manager and team, and it is a good chance to catch up on admin and stay connected. (There is also a music room, pool table, mini gym etc.)
  • 2 days visiting your team locally - Across prisons including Peterborough and Littlehey, plus probation services in Peterborough, Huntingdon, Cambridge and Kings Lynn.
  • 1 day travelling further afield - This could include HMP Wayland, HMP Norwich, Norwich Probation or Hollesley Bay. Travel is paid, but you will need to be a driver and ideally based around Peterborough.

About you:

You might already be managing a team in a similar service (criminal justice, supported housing, homelessness, employability). Or, you could be in a frontline role right now and ready to step up into management like the current postholder did. If so, you will need to show some supervisory experience or clear leadership potential.
