We’re recruiting on behalf of a fantastic charity who support young people with learning disabilities and/or autism — and they’re looking for a Programme Coordinator to help lead their Supported Internships programme across Birmingham. The office is near Snowhill Station, but you will be happy traveling to site locations in the West Mids (for example Hospitals or Retail stores where a lot of the projects are delivered).

What you’ll be doing:

  • You’ll be the person making sure the programme runs smoothly each day.
  • Expect a mix of leading a brilliant delivery team, supporting learners, and building great relationships with families, employers, and local partners.
  • And don’t worry — the charity already has a Curriculum Manager and Quality Manager handling the heavy academic/Ofsted stuff!

In a nutshell, you’ll:

  • Lead and support the onsite delivery team
  • Create a positive, safe, encouraging environment for learners
  • Keep an eye on progress, outcomes and general “are we smashing this?” indicators
  • Make sure things stay compliant with safeguarding and contract requirements
  • Work closely with families, local authorities, employers and other partners

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience in education, SEND or supported employment (bonus if you’ve worked with EHCP learners)
  • A good grasp of Ofsted/DfE expectations (no need to be an inspector!)
