The opportunity
This role will involve becoming a key member of our production team, working closely with Technicians, Project Managers and Engineers. The role will be flexible to the needs of the team, some weeks focusing more on a project build we might have in-house, other weeks focusing on improving the efficiency of our workshop, working on making ourselves more efficient.

Responsibilities
- Mechanical assembly, quality testing and installation of our QuantiSort and QualiBot offerings
- Electrical assembly and quality testing, in workshop and on-site
- Development, building and testing of the subassemblies that make up all our product streams
- Maintaining component traceability and ensuring the highest quality standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve any assembly issues or discrepancies to maintain production schedules whilst communicating this information back into improving the process
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in a hands-on technician role in an industrial engineering environment
- Power and control wiring aptitude a must
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics with the ability to report errors or oversights
- Familiarity or training on electrical standards e.g. BS 7671 and 60204
- Strong problem-solving mentality for engineering challenges
- Ability to interpret engineering information in multiple formats, including assembly instructions, 2D drawings, 3D CAD assemblies
- Route and terminate pneumatic lines, wiring/cabling and electrical conduit
- Confidence using workshop and power tools, with knowledge of safe handling
- Keen eye for detail, both in following and developing processes with a proven ability to identify and implement improvements
- Willingness to deal with ambiguity as we grow, and input to iterate and improve building process and design
- Open to occasional weekend work (with time in lieu)
- Based within a commutable distance to Stratford, London, to work onsite 5 days a week
- Good communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively
It’s a bonus if you have
- Full clean driving license
- Forklift qualifications
- An interest in testing jig design and optimisation
- Experience assembling and testing pneumatic systems
- Experience installing industrial equipment and warehouse management
- Experience improving health and safety processes
- Prior ERP experience
- Startup or scale-up experience
