The opportunity

This role will involve becoming a key member of our production team, working closely with Technicians, Project Managers and Engineers.

The role will be flexible to the needs of the team, some weeks focusing more on a project build we might have in-house, other weeks focusing on improving the efficiency of our workshop, working on making ourselves more efficient.

Responsibilities

  • Electrical assembly and quality testing, in workshop and on-site
  • Mechanical assembly, quality testing and installation of our Quanti Sort and Quali Bot offerings
  • Development, building and testing of the subassemblies that make up all our product streams
  • Maintaining component traceability and ensuring the highest quality standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any assembly issues or discrepancies to maintain production schedules whilst communicating this information back into improving the process

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in a hands-on technician rolein an industrial engineering environment
  • Power and control wiring aptitude a must
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics with the ability to report errors or oversights
  • Strong problem-solving mentality for engineering challenges
  • Ability to interpret engineering information in multiple formats, including assembly instructions, 2D drawings, 3D CAD assemblies
  • Route and terminate pneumatic lines, wiring/cabling and electrical conduit
  • Confidence using workshop and power tools, with knowledge of safe handling
  • Keen eye fordetail, both infollowinganddevelopingprocesses with a proven ability to identify and implement improvements
  • Willingness to deal with ambiguity as we grow, and input to iterate and improve building process and design
  • Open tooccasional weekend work(with time in lieu)
  • Based within a commutable distance to Stratford, London, to workonsite 5 days a week
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively
  • It’s a bonus if you have
  • Familiarity or training on electrical standards e. g. BS 7671 and 60204
  • Experience assembling and testing pneumatic systems
  • Experience installing industrial equipmentand warehouse management
  • Experience improving health and safety processes
  • Prior ERP/inventory management experience
  • Startup or scale-up experience
  • Full clean driving license
  • Forklift qualifications
