Responsibilities Overview
- Lead multiple projects concurrently involving the installation and retrofitting of software and hardware solutions into client sites with focus on optical sorters.
- From signature of contract to project sign-off including travels on site and contributing to production work during installation on top of client interaction and supervision of work.
- Perform sampling and scanning of waste samples as part of the commissioning phase and produce clear reports on performance analysis for sign off metrics.
- Manage data and AI model deployment pipelines to fulfil client goals.
- Guide UK and international clients through all aspects of each project, including hardware installation, and update them on the project status via regular client meetings and presentations.
- Manage third party suppliers and customer required actions as part of project delivery.
- Document and track action items from project kick‐off, design review, installation review and installation aftercare (via multiple platforms such as Teams, Notion, Jira, SharePoint).
- Hold regular client project meetings for internal team.
- Plan Production team's sprints, ensuring with other PMs that tasks are evenly distributed throughout the team, and no one is overloaded.
- Communicate well with each department throughout the business, clearly identifying issues and reporting any changes back to the client.
- Pro‐actively keep both the internal project team and the client informed with clear and concise written updates.
- Establish, monitor and maintain budgets through the entire project lifecycle, reporting clearly upon conclusion.
- Effectively manage project/commercial risk. Respond effectively to change requests or project variations.
- Improve our processes – work to make our processes more efficient and robust. This includes the AI model and hardware product delivery.
We are looking for an organised project manager used to working on medium‐cycle, complex and fast‐paced projects with multiple stakeholders. You would have previous experience in an environment involving operations, project management or manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role either retrofitting or installing new cutting edge software and hardware solutions into heavy industrial environments. A willingness to be hands‐on and get stuck‐in with waste! This could involve sampling, testing, or even helping build a robot frame.
