Vehicle Recovery Driver

have an exciting opportunity for a recovery driver to join our scrap car recycling business based in Ilkeston, Derbyshire.

As a recovery driver you will undertake the collection of scrap vehicles from households and businesses across the Midlands. You will drive the company\’s recovery vehicle which will be based at Ilkeston, Griffon Road, DE7 4RF.

You will be part of a team of recycling professionals all committed to doing their part in environmental sustainability.

Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently recover scrap cars from various locations in the East Midlands

• Operate a 3.5t recovery truck or flatbed truck to transport vehicles

• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving

• Ensure proper documentation and paperwork for each job

• Maintain a clean and organised work environment

• Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients

• Invoice the company weekly

Requirements:

• Valid driver\’s license with a clean driving record

• Experience in operating recovery or flatbed trucks preferred

• Strong knowledge of vehicle recovery techniques and equipment

• Ability to work independently and problem-solve on the spot

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Physical strength and ability to lift heavy objects
