Moorgate, London | Hybrid (3 days office)
We're recruiting for a growing multi-entity group operating across staffing and healthcare services, with approximately 25 companies across the UK and internationally.
This is not a traditional Management Accountant role.
Whilst most of the position focuses on month-end accounting and entity ownership, part of it is also dedicated to improving data quality, automating reporting, and helping the business make better commercial decisions through accurate and accessible financial information.
The Role
- Own monthly management accounts for a portfolio of entities.
- Manage journals, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, and intercompany accounting.
- Deliver P&L reporting, variance analysis, and commercial insights.
- Improve how financial and operational data is captured, coded, and reported.
- Join operational data with financial data to produce meaningful management information.
- Build reporting that answers commercial questions without manual manipulation each month.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate reporting processes.
- Improve month-end efficiency by reducing manual work and enhancing data quality.
- Use Excel, reporting tools, and AI-assisted technology to improve analysis and reporting output
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys understanding the story behind the numbers and questioning how processes can be improved.
You'll have:
- ACCA/CIMA Part-Qualified, Finalist, or Qualified by Experience.
- Strong experience managing a full month-end process.
- Experience owning management accounts across one or more entities.
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Lookups and ideally Power Query.
- Experience working with large volumes of data and transforming it into clear business insights.
- Experience improving, streamlining or automating finance and reporting processes.
- Practical experience using AI tools within a finance, reporting, or analysis environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
- Multi-entity or group accounting experience.
- Microsoft Business Central experience.
- Experience within staffing, recruitment, healthcare, or another high-volume transactional environment.
