Responsibilities
Source and create new opportunities – this is a new business role!
Create and manage a pipeline of qualified prospects sufficient to meet quarterly/annual quota requirements.
Manage sales opportunities from beginning to end – identifying and qualifying prospects, aligning Recurly’s value with prospect needs, negotiating and closing deals.
Learn and maintain in‑depth knowledge of Recurly’s product, technology, competitors and industry trends.
Work closely with supporting functions including Marketing, SDRs, Customer Success, Partner Team and Professional Services.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in a quota‑carrying sales role selling software or cloud‑based applications.
- Proven experience managing and closing complex sales cycles – demonstrated ownership of all aspects of territory management and pipeline generation, and selling to multiple constituents in the same cycle.
- Track record of driving consistent activity, pipeline development and quota achievement.
- Experience in determining customer requirements and presenting appropriate solutions.
- Proactive, independent thinker with high energy and positive attitude.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced startup environment – roll‑up‑your‑sleeves attitude and a willingness to be a relentless collaborator, excellent teammate and process innovator.
- Desire to never stop learning or growing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and relationship‑management skills.
- BA/BS degree or relevant experience.
- Bonus points: additional languages (German, Dutch, Hebrew, Swedish) and subscription industry knowledge with deep vertical expertise.
