Commercial Property Legal Secretary

Our client are a specialist commercial law firm with offices in Liverpool & Chester. With a friendly culture and excellent reputation with their clients, they are now seeking a Commercial Property Legal Secretary to join their fast-growing team.
The Legal Secretary is expected to use a high degree of self-management and initiative. On occasion, the Legal Assistant will be required to provide assistance to other Fee Earners within the Firm.
About the role
- Opening, maintaining, and closing files in line with risk management and compliance procedures.
- Drafting routine correspondence, statements, and legal documents, including audio and copy typing.
- Handling client care, appointments, and communications professionally, both in person and by phone.
- Carrying out property and company searches, and managing Land Registry, SDLT, and post-completion processes.
- Managing filing, document scanning, and diary coordination, while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Supporting the wider team with general admin, reception cover, and document management using systems like DMS, Lawsoft, and Tikit.
About You
- Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within a Commercial Property environment.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Confident, articulate, and client-focused with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive, flexible, and a strong team player who can also work independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, with experience in formatting, numbering, and document styles.
