We are looking for a site operative to work for a family run business who are a leading supplier of agriculture feed and who import and export internationally. The role is varied and hands-on and will support the site manager with all the daily operations.
Main Duties:
- Dealing with incoming cargo of product and taking samples of the feed for quality before loading into storage tanks.
- Overseeing the intake process and liaising with drivers.
- Completing crop quality tests and recording the captured data onto the database system for the quality control process.
- Assisting with the ship loading operation.
About You:
- The role is fairly active, with some manual handling, time on your feet, the site is open air and there will be some working from height.
- You will be enthusiastic and practically minded.
- You will have relevant background experience in logistics operations or another comparable industry.
- A fork-lift truck license or experience of using a fork-lift would be preferred, although refresher training can be arranged.
