Café Senior Sous Chef required for a very popular venue in a prime location between Chichester and Bognor Regis. We are looking for motivated and experienced chefs to join a busy, friendly team.
Candidate Requirements:
- To have a background of working at a senior level
- Must have a food hygiene qualification, at least a level 2
- Should be able to work under their own initiative but must know the importance of working as part of a team, so being a good communicator is highly important
You will be working under the venue Managing Director preparing fresh ingredients and cooking a variety of foods on an already agreed menu basis. Responsibilities will include managing the food preparation and the small but dedicated team of chefs ensuring the kitchen works efficiently with stock controls.
This is a full-time role working 8.30am to 5pm on straight shifts, working 5 days out of 7 with weekends on a rota basis.
Salary: £32,000 - £36,000 depending on experience
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Chef or similar role in a restaurant or café setting
- A minimum of 3 years experience
- Proficiency in various cooking techniques and food preparation methods
- Ability to bake cakes, scones and desserts
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
