Assistant Restaurant Manager Permanent Chichester c£30,000 per annum DOE Full time Weekends on a rota Our client is an independent family business who have been an extremely popular Garden Centre and Restaurant since 1991.As an ever-growing company based in the Chichester area, they are now looking to add to their current workforce by recruiting for an experienced and enthusiastic Assistant Restaurant Manager for their highly popular restaurant.

You will be responsible for: Managing the efficient running of the catering on a day-to-day basis deputising as manager in the restaurant managers absence Driving the sales and profitability of catering ensuring financial budgets are achieved Ensuring the agreed standards are maintained at all times Responsibilities: (Full spec held on file) To Support the sourcing, buying, negotiation, pricing and promotion of all catering offers To recruit as necessary to meet the agreed head count in line with management directions To assist in any disciplinary procedures that may be required Ensuring staff presentation and uniform is kept at all times Assist with managing of daily breaks, absence and sickness to ensure appropriate cover Assist with managing and recording wastage To proactively serve and help customers in need of assistance, resolving queries/complaints To carry out the agreed procedures for Health and safety and carry out monthly H&S checks To ensure allergens book is kept up to date Assist with the catering stock taking process To assist with the planning and managing of group booking and special events To undertake any other reasonable tasks requested by the Catering Manager Research new vendors and assist with Marketing ideas to increase footfall Relationships: Positive working relationships will need to be maintained at all times with customers, colleagues and suppliers Liaising very closely with Garden Centre, Marketing and Finance Additional desirable requirements: Food Hygiene certificate Level 2 First Aid Personal Licence Holder If you are looking for the next step in your career and are looking to work for a family run company who care as much for their staff as their customers then please apply now.
