We are looking for a Shop Floor Assistant in a busy oriental supermarket in Milton Keynes, to deal with all shop floor duties, customer deliveries, including manual handling and to be committed to delivering great customer service. Candidates are expected to be health and safety conscious, self-motivated, have good customer service skills, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out all general shop assistant duties as required
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the premises, including toilets, shelves, and staff/customer areas
- Keep the car park and external areas clean, tidy, and safe
- Assist with unloading containers and handling deliveries
- Replenish stock and organise shelves efficiently
- Support the team with day-to-day operational tasks
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times
- Be flexible and willing to undertake a variety of manual and store-related duties as needed
- Experience: Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not required; on-the-job training is provided.
- Physical Ability: Able to stand, walk, and lift items up to 25kg throughout the shift.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and the ability to work under time constraints.
- Flexibility: Willing to work fixed schedules with occasional weekend shifts as needed.
- Dress Code: Safety shoes and a hi-vis vest are mandatory.
- Weekly pay and holiday pay.
- Pay Rate: £12.71 per Hour
